For the past few days I've been unable to download any apps from the App Store on my iOS devices, including the iPad and iPhone. I click "install", it asks for my password, it goes back to the home screen and the icon pops up and it says "waiting " underneath, and then nothing ever happens. It's just stuck on waiting forever. To force stop the app, you can follow the steps as: Go to the Settings menu and open the Application. In the Application Manager, swipe down to see all the applications. Now, look for the Messaging app in the list and click on it when you find it. When you open the app info, you will see an option that says Force Stop. A recent Play Store update could be the reason why apps are stuck in the Google Play download queue. Google's official app store has been changed so that it will only allow one download at a time. Attempting to download numerous apps simultaneously can cause these apps to remain queued on an Android device.

Why can’t I download an app on my Android? If you’re having trouble downloading the app, try clearing the data in your device’s Download Manager. Then, return to the ‘All’ tab in your Google Play Store and look for Google Play Store. Tap Apps (Apps Manager). Open the Google Play Store app. Choose Storage. Clear Data and Cache. Restart your device and open Play Store. If the Store is persistent in claiming you’re not connected, move to the next step. Google Play Store downloads only one app at a time, so in case the screen show pending check is there any other app being downloaded or updated at the moment. If yes, either wait for the download to finish or manually stop the download by heading to the My apps.
